FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire in the open in Freshwater this evening (Thursday).
At 6.23pm, firefighters from Freshwater Fire Station were called to extinguish a two metre by two metre fire in the open.
A single fire engine and a water carrier from Freshwater arrived on the scene near Norton Green Industrial Park.
At 7.08pm, firefighters left the scene after the burning tyres were extinguished using the main jets.
