A CAR accident has been reported in Carisbrooke this afternoon (Thursday).
Southern Vectis said at 4.25pm the incident, involving a car and a pedestrian, happened in the High Street outside the Eight Bells pub.
UPDATE 17.18: An Isle of Wight Ambulance Service spokesperson said an elderly man had tripped and fallen off the kerb outside Carisbrooke Health Centre.
He has been taken to St Mary's Hospital by ambulance.
It is not believed any vehicle was involved in the incident.
