JAY Miller's Circus and its diverse entertainment shows is set to return to the Isle of Wight next week.

On Thursday, July 25, the circus is coming to town — to Wootton, to be more specific.

With the aroma of sawdust, candy floss and popcorn beckoning Jon Miller since 1976, he has proudly brought his circus back to the Island — first class, live, traditional family entertainment.

"We at Jay Miller's Circus love the Isle of Wight," said Jon Miller.

"It’s the highlight of our tour each year, not only as it’s a summer break for us, but also because the people are so friendly, supportive and welcoming every time we visit."

The ring master for this year's production is the dynamic Laszlo Schlingloff, who — along with the challenge of coordinating a touring production — also has the job of keeping cheeky, loveable clown, Peppi, under control.

Among the array of talent presented in this year’s show is Kelly Folco, direct from Italy and performing for the first time in any English circus.

From Spain, the Salsky family will entertain on the Rolling Globes, and Matyi from Hungary will be on the Cyr Wheel.

You can find Chloe Jayne suspended high in the Big Top, purely by her hair, and Miss Jodi dazzling with her multitude of Hula Hoops.

The circus' very own Miller due will also be performing, too — whirlwind roller skaters who perform at high speed on a platform less than two metres in diameter.

All these acts, plus many more, can be seen from Thursday, July 25 until September 1.
