LOOKING to learn a new skill this summer?

The Quay Arts Summer School returns for its 15th year, offering a huge range of art and craft courses and workshops suitable for all levels of expertise.

New and returning tutors will be on hand to share their skills in a number of fields.

This year's programme includes drawing and painting workshops, jewellery making sessions and weaving.

Learn how to use a drop spindle, write and illustrate your own comic, or try your hand at Shibori — a Japanese technique for dying fabric.

There will also be a kids' art summer school held across three days.

The workshops will be held at Quay Arts and Jubilee Stores, the artists' studios across the road.

The summer school starts on Monday with the first workshop — A Day of Drawing with Bridget Macdonald — and continues until the end of August.

Summer school brochures are available at Quay Arts, or online at www.quayarts.org
