Isle of Wight firefighters responded to a kitchen fire in Chale.
THE Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called to a kitchen fire in Chale this evening (Wednesday), which had been put out on their arrival.
A fire spokesperson said: "We were called at 9.08pm to reports of a kitchen fire.
"Newport and Shanklin firefighters responded to the call, but no firefighting action was required, as the fire had already been put out.
"The fire started from something that had been left on the stove."
