MORE than 100 motorcyclists turned up to play escort when a St George's School student said on Facebook it was her dream to be escorted by a motorbike to prom.
The school held its annual prom on Friday — and had the unexpected bonus of support from 100-plus motorcyclists.
Held at Quay Arts, the students enjoyed an evening of music and dancing.
Assistant head, Juliet Bell, said: "Our theme this year was film characters from the 70's, 80's and 90's, and the students really entered into the spirit of this, dressing up and having a great time."
Outfits included Captain America, Kylo Ren, and Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
There was a disco, buffet and professional photography, and students played musical statues and took home goody bags.
There were competitions for best dancer, best make-up and best costume, and Fleur Marie Haynes and James Kissick took home the bragging rights for best couple.
