THERE will be a special floral art class at this year's Chale Show, with proceeds going to help young people with cancer.

For every entry in the Young Lives vs Cancer class, for arrangements in CLIC Sargent's colours of pink, black and white, Chale Show will donate £10 to the charity.

Last year, Chale Show donated £10,000 to local and national charities.

Isle of Wight CLIC Sargent volunteer Susan Earley: “As a family, we have always taken part in the show. It’s such a fantastic day out for all the family.

"CLIC Sargent is a charity that has helped my family, so I am very grateful to the Chale Show organisers for including the Young Lives vs Cancer class.

"I am really looking forward to seeing the entries and hope that lots of people enter this class."

Chale Show manager Andrew Woodford said: “I am really proud of the fact the Chale Horticultural Society is able to make donations from the Chale Show to a number of charities that help local residents and we are pleased to support CLIC Sargent once again.

"We are really looking forward to the 2019 show — this is the 93rd Chale Show and we are so glad visitors continue to enjoy it."

The Chale Show takes place on Saturday, August 3 and Sunday, August 4.

The deadline for entries is 6pm on July 29.
