A COUPLE who honeymooned in Santorini, Gemma Hayward and Kerick Sampson, were married at St John the Baptist Church, Yaverland.

The bride, a beauty therapist, is the daughter of Karen Hayward and Paul Hayward, of Drabbles Lane, Sandown.

The bridegroom, a carpenter, is the son of Nicola Sampson, of Freshwater, and Paul Sampson, of Totland.

The bride wore a classic princess ballgown with soft sweetheart neckline and embroidered ivory bodice, and lace skirt with under layer of blush coloured, sequin tulle.

Her full-length veil with blush pink trim, was her 'something borrowed' from her mother, and she carried a bouquet of pink and ivory roses.

She was attended by Sarah and Lauren Hayward (bride's sisters), who wore blush pink, floor-length dresses with satin belts.

The best men were Karlos Robins and Matthew Gulliver, and the ushers were Christopher Hayward (bride's brother), and Hagen and Colbie Sampson (bridegroom's brothers).

The Rev Barry Downer officiated.

The couple, who live in Lake, held their reception at Ventnor Botanic Garden, where they cut their cake, featuring a keepsake sculpted glass cake topper, handmade by Paul Critchley, of Arreton Barns.
