ORGANISERS of a protest timed to coincide with the visit of Boris Johnson on the IW tomorrow, have revealed their plans.

They will meet for a protest in St Thomas' Square, Newport, at midday.

In the event page on Facebook, organiser Felicity Radak said: "Due to the secretive nature of Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt's visit to the IW, with the event location being kept from the public, we have decided to hold our protest in St Thomas' Square, Newport.

"We hope this means that everyone will have enough notice to attend. We will be meeting at 12pm."

The protest is to "stand in solidarity with survivors of domestic abuse".

This is in response to news reports that neighbours of Mr Johnson phoned police after hearing a row at the property he shares with his partner Carrie Symonds.

Mr Johnson is coming to the IW, as is fellow leadership hopeful Jeremy Hunt, for an IW Conservative Association event.
