AN ISLE of Wight fashion student has seen her lingerie collection modelled on the London catwalk.

Following a three-year fashion course at De Montfort University, Felicity Bird, 23, had her final collection modelled at the university's contour fashion catwalk show, held at Freemason's Hall in Covent Garden.

Felicity, who lives in Newport, said she was inspired by the Dangerous Beauty exhibition at the New York Met, and named her collection Dangerous Beauty: Medusa.

She specialises in luxury lingerie and swimwear, and was one of 30 students chosen to exhibit their work.

Felicity's work has also been praised by Underlines Magazine chief executive Coco de Mer, who featured her lingerie in the magazine.

Felicity's collection was made using snakeskin Chantilly lace, silk organza, glitter screen prints and 3D printed masks.

She said staging her own catwalk show was stressful and emotional, but ultimately rewarding.

"I'm thankful for the opportunity," she said.
