Firefighters called out to Wootton after electrical fault with dishwasher

Two crews — one from Newport and one from Ryde — were called out at 11.49am to a property on Church Road after it was feared the dishwasher had caught fire.

However, when firefighters arrived on scene, it turned out to be a false alarm and no firefighting action was needed.
