A COUPLE who fell foul of film star Dan Aykroyd, when he demanded they stop selling their hot sauce in a similar skull-shaped bottle to his premium vodka, have launched a new design.

Bobby and Rosie Powers, of Ryde, founded Bloody Hell Hot Sauce five years ago, using a mango and chilli pepper recipe, handed down by Bobby's Mexican grandmother, Granny Gonzalez.

The couple had sold around 6,000 bottles, and the sauce was stocked at food shops including Harvey Nichols and Fenwick, as well as on the Island.

But they ran into difficulty with Ghostbusters star Aykroyd's multi-million pound company, Globefill Inc, which produces Crystal Head Vodka.

The Powers' received a letter from Globefill's lawyers, asking them to withdraw the bottles from sale.

They had to come up with a new design, to save their business.

They recently launched the new look bottle, in a monkey head design.
