THREE people have been pulled from the River Medina tonight (Sunday) after their dinghy capsized.

Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams (CRTs) were called to the scene, north of the Folly, shortly before 8pm.

Following the rescue, they were left in the care of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.

Ventnor CRT tweeted: "Tasked alongside Bembridge CRT to three persons pulled from the water after capsizing their dinghy north of the Folly.

"Persons recovered by Cowes harbour vessel and brought ashore to be checked over by @OFFICIALIOWAS. #999Coastguard."
