The UK Coastguard was alerted to the incident at Ventnor beach earlier this evening (Sunday).
A YACHTSMAN who slipped and dislocated his knee was rescued by Isle of Wight coastguards yesterday (Saturday).
The vessel was off Hillhead, near Lee-on-Solent, when the accident happened shortly after 10.30am.
Following a radio call to the UK Coastguard for help, the Hamble Lifeboat and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were asked to assist.
The Ventnor team met the yacht at Trinity Landing, Cowes, and, together with the lifeboat crew, stretchered the injured man to a waiting ambulance.
