TWO popular classical musicians will perform together for the first time.

Flautist Siobhan Cosgrove and pianist James Langford — who both live on the Isle of Wight — will give a concert of uplifting summer music at All Saints Church, Gurnard, on Saturday, June 29.

Siobhan is a graduate of The Royal Academy of Music. She plays first flute in the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra and appears as a soloist.

James is a Steinway artist and works with English National Opera, the Royal Ballet and the BBC Singers.

He will also perform at Ventnor Fringe next month (July).

"We’re really looking forward to the concert," said James.

"It will be lovely to play in an intimate space with good acoustics — we can really communicate with the audience, and best of all, we’re performing on the Island."
