RED Funnel car ferry sailings were cancelled this morning (Friday) after a crew member was taken to hospital.
On the 5am Red Eagle sailing from Southampton to East Cowes, one of Red Funnel's crew members on-board was taken ill.
A Red Funnel spokesperson said: "As a precaution, the crew member was taken to hospital.
"His removal from the vessel meant that we did not meet the safe minimum crew required to run the next scheduled sailing.
"As a result, we had to cancel the 5am sailing from Southampton, and the 6.30am sailing departing East Cowes."
