CONSERVATIVE leadership candidate Dominic Raab is on the Isle of Wight today (Friday).

The Tory leadership hopeful is visiting to have lunch at Shanklin Conservative Club with local Conservative Party members.

Mr Raab is the former Brexit secretary.

David Pugh, chair of the Isle of Wight Conservative Association, said: "We are pleased to welcome Dominic Raab to the Island to speak to the Isle of Wight Conservative Association.

"Our members are taking a keen interest in the leadership contest and are looking forward to hearing what Dominic has to say, and how — if Prime Minister — he would work with our MP Bob Seely to secure government funding for initiatives on the Island."
