FIREFIGHTERS were called to a property in Freshwater late last night (Wednesday).
A single fire engine from Freshwater Fire Station attended the scene following a call from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service requesting the Fire Service gain entry into the building.
With concerns for a woman's wellbeing, at approximately 12.30am, firefighters gained entry into the building using a triple extension ladder to reach a first floor window.
One elderly female has since been left in the care of the ambulance service.
