AN ISLE of Wight care home will retain its name after being taken over by a new company.

A Hawaiian-themed party was held at Solent Grange, at Stapler's Road, Newport, to celebrate the takeover by the Future Care Group.

Residents, their family and friends were treated to a buffet, activities and live music. Singer Derek Sandy unveiled a plaque featuring the company's mission statement — Your Future Matters.

The event was attended by Future Care Group managing director Arnon Rubinstein, regional support manager Neil Lancaster and Solent Grange manager, Joju Thomas.

Residents said they were pleased the home would continue to be called Solent Grange.
