FOLLOWING yesterday's Met Office warning of heavy rain, a yellow warning has been issued for thunderstorms today (Friday).

The Met Office warned to expect heavy thundery showers, between 2pm and 11pm.

According to the yellow warning, Islander's can expect flooding, travel delays and disruption, and some interruption to power supplies.

The Met Office has also issued guidance on its website for staying safe in thunder and lightning, and travelling in storms.
