A 14-YEAR-OLD girl has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery after an incident at a Ryde convenience store yesterday (Monday).

The girl is in police custody at this time, a police spokesperson said.

As reported yesterday, police were called to reports of a teenager attempting to rob Duffetts Store on John Street at knifepoint.

Police said they received reports that a girl had entered the store at around 12.45pm and demanded staff give her money, while holding a knife.

The staff did not give her money and she left empty handed.
