Sue Rann, of From Foster to Forever, informed the County Press that Toby had been found by the Isle of Wight Crematorium, in the woodland.
Sue said it was unclear whether Toby had been thrown out the vehicle from the impact of the collision, or if he had escaped, however he did not appear injured.
From Foster to Forever received the call just before 7am and confirmed the rescue dog has been checked over by a vet.
Sue said: "I would like to say a big thank you to the Woodman Arms, Isle of Wight Radio and the general community in Wootton.
Even children have been searching for him on their bikes — I think the fact he is a rescue dog made it more poignant he was missing."
Toby has since been reunited with Jenna, his foster carer.
