A PSYCHOTHERAPIST and walking therapy pioneer has released his first book.

Walk With Your Wolf — part memoir, part self-help guide — promotes walking, and immersing oneself in nature, as a way to improve mental health.

Author Jonathan Hoban is an integrative psychotherapist and runs residential retreats on the Isle of Wight where people can reset and regain personal clarity in body and mind.

In the book, he explores the main causes of work stress, anxiety, depression and addiction, how they are manifested in the body and mind, and how to tackle them.

Jonathan, who lives in Bembridge, said: “I wrote this book while walking along the coastline of the IW.

“On the Island, mental health services are stretched, and not everyone can afford counselling. This book will help readers expand their self-awareness of how they feel, and what to do next.”

He said walking enabled people to find space to process their feelings, giving them the courage to be vulnerable and honest with themselves.
