MACMILLAN Cancer Support has been named the Isle of Wight Festival's charity partner for 2019.

Today (Tuesday), Macmillan confirmed it will bring the first 'world's biggest coffee morning lounge' to this year's festival.

Festival-goers can enjoy everything the festival has to offer — including headline performances from Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, George Ezra and Biffy Clyro — while supporting a fantastic cause.

Macmillan is the UK’s leading cancer support charity, providing physical, emotional and financial help for those living with cancer.

A pop-up shop stocked with dry shampoo and mirrors — as well as glitter tattoos, available in exchange for donations — has been confirmed by the cancer support charity.

The Macmillan Information Support Service (MISS) bus has also been organised for festival-goers to access information.

Artists and VIPs will have exclusive access to Macmillan’s 'world's biggest coffee morning lounge' to enjoy tea and cake as a prelude to Macmillan’s biggest annual fundraising event.

Claire Rowney, Macmillan's executive director of fundraising, marketing & communications, said: "It’s fantastic that we’re partnering with The Isle of Wight Festival this year.

"As a charity funded by public donations, the opportunity to raise vital funds at such a well-known and widely-attended festival is hugely exciting and an opportunity we’re incredibly grateful for.”

Caroline Giddings, festival director, said: "We're delighted to help raise funds and awareness for the wonderful work they do providing incredible support for all those affected by cancer.”
