THE Duke of Kent will visit the Isle of Wight on Thursday.

He will visit East Cowes — stopping by Osborne House, the Romanov memorial at York Avenue, and the RNLI inshore lifeboat centre at Clarence Road.

It will not be his first visit to the centre. In 2009, he opened the workshop there, and unveiled a memorial plaque.

As reported, a weekend of events will be held in the town this weekend to celebrate the bicentenary of Queen Victoria's birth.
