A BOY who grew his hair on purpose so he could donate it to charity, has finally had it cut.

Taylor Sedgwick, ten, of Ryde, spent 21 months growing his hair so he could cut it in aid of Macmillian Cancer and The Little Princess Trust.

He got the idea because he braved the shave in August 2017 and said it was a shame nothing could be done with the hair. When he heard that if it grew long enough it could be donated to make wigs, he was determined to give it a go.

Taylor said: "My great grandad Ronald Sedgwick died of bowel cancer before I was even born.

"I have his name as my middle name and use it with pride.

"I wanted to help other people who are suffering and wanted to grow my hair long enough to donate to make wigs so I didn't cut it until it was long enough to donate."

He has so fair raised more than £200.
