A MAN with an air rifle was arrested in Sandown yesterday evening (Thursday).
Police were called at 10.09pm following reports of man with a weapon on Leed Street.
Specialist officers carried out enquiries in the area and an air rifle was later recovered.
A 59 year-old man was been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He remains in custody at this time.
