AN UNEXPLODED bomb is thought to have been detected on Totland beach tonight.
Needles Coastguard Rescue Team and Freshwater Independent Lifeboat are on the scene, having been called at around 8pm.
The Coastguard said it was dealing with an unexploded ordnance.

UPDATE 9.30pm: The Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal team conducted a controlled explosion and the incident was stood down.
