THE new owners of the popular Godshill pub, The Taverners, have spoken to the County Press about their plans for the business.

Emma and Tim Foster, who own the Three Buoys restaurant in Appley, will retain management of the Three Buoys as well as taking on the new venture.

Tim said: "We have purchased the Taverners, a lively pub in the heart of the quaint village of Godshill, which has a die hard local following and is loved by holiday makers alike.

"The reputation has been built up over the last 11 years for quality, locally sourced and seasonal food.

"We love it just the way it is and are keen to maintain what makes that pub unique, with a comfortable and inviting place to relax, enjoy a good meal and a drink.

"The Taverners and Three Buoys are very different, and reflect different sides of the Island’s personality and we want to keep it that way.

"We are committed to keeping the two businesses trading to their identities. They are, after-all, unique businesses."

Tim will remain as the familiar face at the Three Buoys, while wife Emma will manage The Taverners.
