MUSIC, food, a boat jumble and safety exhibitions both on and off the water will feature at the Yarmouth Spring Festival on The Quayside tomorrow (Saturday).

The event is organised by Yarmouth Harbour Commissioners, and will be on from 10am to 6pm.

Scott Neill, deputy harbourmaster, said: "We are aiming to grow and develop the festival and, this year, we have more than 30 exhibitors.

"The festival provides a focal point for both local residents and visitors and hopefully means increased footfall for businesses in the town.

"Our thanks are extended to Wightlink for providing us with additional space to hold the event."

Exhibitors include the RNLI, who will be offering static tours of the lifeboat, Freshwater Independent Lifeboat, HM Coastguard and National Coastwatch.

There will also be a boat jumble sale.

Music is provided by The Tea 'n' Biscuit Boys and Slainte Va, and food stalls will include Dumpling Dumpling, Wightwood Pizza, Blue Crab Restaurant and Plaza Ices.

Both the Royal Solent Yacht Club and Yarmouth Sailing Club will be holding open days when prospective members will be given tours of the premises and information about the facilities and services they provide.
