NEWPORT barber Stuart Pointing is running the London Marathon for the MS Society UK.

After conquering the Great South Run five times in support of the charity, Stuart is preparing for his biggest challenge yet, his first London Marathon.

Stuart, of The Barber Cube in Holyrood Street, smashed his fundraising targets with £2,855 raised so far for the Multiple Sclerosis charity, thanks to support from customers, family and friends.

He’ll be joined in London by brother Steven Pointing, of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, who is also running his first marathon.

Stuart said: “It’s a big challenge, but I’m excited to be running alongside my brother in support of such a great cause. Thank you to everyone who’s supported us so far.”
