RYDE Harriers will be hosting two multi-terrain races over the Easter weekend.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will see the annual Newport to Ryde race, which starts outside the Methodist Church Hall in Quay Street, Newport, at 3pm.

The finish for the Newport to Ryde race is at Ryde High School Sixth Form Centre in Playstreet Lane, Ryde.

Meanwhile, on Easter Monday (April 22), the annual West Wight 3 Hills will begin at noon and follow a loop of varied terrain, starting and finishing at West Wight Sports Centre in Freshwater, and taking in Tennyson Down, High Down and Alum Bay.

On-line entries for both events have now closed, but there will be limited on-the-day places available for each race.

These will be available on a first come, first served basis, and will be priced at £15 for attached runners and £18 unattached.

For more information about both races, see www.rydeharriers.co.uk and look under the Open Races tab.

If you have photos from these races, please send them to sports editor Jon Moreno: sport@iwcp.co.uk (Newport to Ryde by Sunday 3pm, and West Wight 3 Hills, 10am on Tuesday) with the photographer's name and a caption.
