ISLE of Wight Scouts are seeking a new county commissioner.

Paul Savill is stepping down and a replacement is needed to lead the Island's 1,700 scouts for the next few years.

The scours are looking for a volunteer with management experience who wants to make a positive impact within their community.

The successful candidate will have attributes that include good interpersonal, leadership and line management skills, the ability to motivate, inspire others and build teams and provide strategic direction.

Applicants don’t need any prior experience of scouting to apply and will be fully trained and supported.

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking IW Scouts forward as a growing organisation relevant to young people and adults alike.

The current youth membership on the Island is around 1,200 young people, supported by 500 adults.
