A WOMAN died after suffering from recognised side effects of medication.

Megan Nicole Jones, of Shanklin, died aged 28, after suffering with heart arrhythmia, an inquest heard.

Miss Jones suffered with a number of mental health conditions, including schizoaffective disorder, OCD and anorexia.

She was trialled on a number of anti-psychotic medications, which were ineffective, so was moved on to clozapine, consultant psychiatrist Dr Alexis Bowers told the inquest.

This, combined with another anti-psychotic drug, amisulpride, caused a higher than optimal combination dose of anti-psychotic medication and led to heart arrhythmia.

Coroner Caroline Sumeray recorded a death pursuant to a recognised complication of a necessary medication regime.
