A COMPLEX combination of drugs caused the death of Ryde man Daniel Sadler, an inquest heard.

Mr Sadler, of High Street, died in July, 2018, at the age of 36.

The inquest heard Mr Sadler's heart and liver were twice the weight they should have been.

Substances found in his body included methadone, cocaine, noscapine, Diazepam, morphine and possible traces of cannabis.

Mr Sadler had been receiving treatment but had relapsed.

IW Coroner Caroline Sumeray said: "There were various drugs being taken. These drugs are dangerous, especially when you do not know what purity they are.

"There was simultaneous use of multiple drugs, and the more you take, the more risk you take."

The cause of death was a combined drug intoxication and the coroner concluded it was a drug-related death.
