WIGHTLINK passengers are facing delays of up to 90 minutes this afternoon (Monday).

The ferry company has apologised to passengers travelling on the Fishbourne to Portsmouth car ferry route.

It said: "Due to an earlier technical issue and war ship movements this afternoon some customers may experience delays of up to 90 mins.

"We apologise for any changes to your travel plans."

There are also delays of ten to 20 minutes on Red Funnel's car ferry service between East Cowes and Southampton.

UPDATE: Wightlink said at 5.30pm that delays had been reduced from 90 minutes to one hour.
