ROYAL Navy bomb disposal experts were called to the Isle of Wight this morning (Saturday) to deal with an unexploded device.
The explosive was discovered in the Bay area and the bomb squad was called over from Portsmouth.
Due to the proximity to residential areas, it was decided to transport the device to Yaverland Beach.
The area was cleared and a controlled explosion was carried out at around 9.30am.
