ALABAMA 3, famous for the Soprano's theme tune, will join the Rhythmtree line up this year.

The band, named 'the best live band in the UK' by the Guardian, will bring their mix of rock, dance, blues, country and gospel to the mainstage on Friday evening.

They will perform crowd pleasing hits 'Woke up this morning' and dance classic 'Ain't going to Goa'.

The band will be followed by dance masters The Orb, and Island favourites 77:78, who will close the live programme on the popular Didg Cafe stage.

Also on the bill for Friday are Z-Star Trinity, and the infectious reggae rhythms of Undercover Hippy.

Sunday evening is set to be one big sing-along with The Zombies and Liverpudlian Brit-pop favourites, Cast.

Hosting the Woods stage on Sunday will be Island favourites Tankus the Henge.

The world’s number one all male acapella group, The Spooky Men’s Chorale, from Australia will also feature.

Additions to the Saturday programme have yet to be announced.

A spokesperson for the festival said: "The Rhythmtree weekend goes from strength to strength and is rightly regarded as the Island’s No 1 family friendly weekend."

The festival takes place at Three Gates Farm, Calbourne, from July 12 to 14.
