STAPLERS Road is due to reopen in both directions later today (Friday) following three months of traffic disruption.

A one-way system has been in place at the Newport road since January, enabling Southern Water and Clancy Docwra engineers to replace 500 metres of ageing water mains.

It is hoped the road will reopen before the rush hour, although the exact time has yet to be confirmed.
