COMEDY duo Dick and Dom are hoping to bring their own magical mayhem to their new festival, the Great WonderFest.

Boyband superstars Busted and The Vamps will headline the family-friendly festival, set to take place from August 1 to 4.

Sigma, Example, Conor Maynard, Mistajam and Becky are also set to perform.

Speaking to the exclusively County Press, Dick said: “It’s great to be part of such a great line up. There really is something for everyone, and something for all ages.”

Dom added: “It’s a cracking line up.”

Isle of Wight County Press:

Dick holidayed on the Island as a child, visiting Cowes and Freshwater. He said: "I think my dad has the footage somewhere, I’m going to dig it up before the festival.

"I remember a really big pirate out the front of Blackgang Chine — is that still there? That used to terrify me as a child."

Dom added: “I went with my wife to this really beautiful waterfall on the Isle of Wight. It was just stunning.

"And I still have the glass bottles with the different coloured sands in it."

Taking place at the start of the summer holidays, festival goers can expect a three day 'schools out, old school, new school, no rules spectacular’ with music, magic, and immersive family fun at its core.

BBC’s Robot Wars will also feature a live arena, with stars from the show.

Other confirmed acts include Wight Trash Skate park, Human Table Football, Steampunk Morris Dancers and Starlight presents 'Build A Show' featuring Cirque du Starlight Wizard of Oz and Aladdin.

Dick and Dom said: “There is going to be a little bit of mayhem.”

The duo will hype up the ground playing ‘Dick vs Dom’: "The audience will battle it out to see who is better, the Dicks or the Doms."

Dom said: “For those living on the Isle of Wight it’s a no brainer really — it’s only half an hour away at most.

"We’re huge fans of all the headliners and we can’t wait to see boy band royalty Busted and The Vamps.

"The Great Wonderfest’ will be the ultimate family extravaganza with a stellar line up of live acts, DJ’s, family shows, TV stars and even magic, variety and cabaret!"
