FIREFIGHTERS in Freshwater raised £400 from a two-hour charity car wash.
The wash, held in the Rapanui car park, Freshwater, was organised by fire fighter, Joe Butchers, and more than 40 vehicles were washed.
Children were able to meet the crew, sit in the fire engine and try their hand, with a bit of help, at using the fire hose.
Refreshments were provided by Stefan Powell, of Freshwater Coffee House.
The money raised will be donated to The Fire Fighters Charity.
