SNIFFER dogs found cannabis in a man's car, resulting in a court appearance at Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court.
Matthew Poole, 30, of Langbridge, Newchurch, was stopped by police and a police dog found two five gram bags of cannabis, prosecutor Vivian Ducie told the court.
For Poole, Barry Arnett told the court his client was a hard working man, but he has a severe back problem from working as a scaffolder.
He got the cannabis to treat this and said it was all for his own personal use, Mr Arnett said.
Magistrates fined Poole £233. He will also have to pay a £30 surcharge and £85 court costs.
