PRO-BREXIT campaigners have been prosecuted while trying to bring major roads to a standstill.
Protesters have planned to cause gridlock on motorways and A-roads across the UK, in a bid to ensure the UK’s departure from the EU on March 29.
Police say drivers in Devon and Cornwall were stopped and prosecuted for careless and inconsiderate driving.
The news comes as campaigners plan to carry out a similar protest on the M3 in Hampshire today.
The protest is set to take place on the M3 at Basingstoke from 6.30am.
It is being organised by a group on social media site Facebook, called Brexit Protest and Direct Action Group UK, who want to “force the government to carry out an action requested by the 17.4 million voters.”
