LIFE in the village of Carisbrooke has been the subject of a photographic exhibition.

Photographers young and old were out and about in the village during 2018, taking pictures that capture the village at its best.

The photographs were all taken within the ecclesiastical parish of Carisbrooke — one of the largest parishes on the Island.

This includes large stretches of Parkhurst Forest and farmland, as well as the whole of the village of Carisbrooke along with Gunville, Bowcombe and Idlecombe.

There are numerous listed buildings as well as many new developments.

The competition was organised by the Friends of Carisbrooke Church, who raise funds for the upkeep of the Grade 1 listed building.
