A STUDENT who climbed onto the roof of Island Learning Centre in Newport has been assisted down by firefighters.
A fire and rescue service spokesperson said that crews were called out just after 4pm and the male student was assisted down from the roof using a ladder.
The spokesperson said the student was co-operative with firefighters and the incident was resolved without any complication.
