NEW exhibitors helped boost entries at St Helens Horticultural Society's 2019 Spring Show.

Secretary Marty Coombes said: "We had some new exhibitors and some new children who were really enthusiastic and want to enter again in the summer, so that is great, we are always looking for that.

"There was a good amount of entries and every class was entered."

There was a springtime and Easter theme running throughout, especially in the domestic science classes, and the daffodils in particular were of good quality this year.

The show took place at St Helens Primary School on Saturday (March 16).
