THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind on Saturday.

Lasting from 4am to 9pm on Saturday, March 16, the warning comes with predictions of strong winds across southern UK, with the strongest winds on coastal areas, such as the Isle of Wight.

The Met Office has said that it is likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.

Travel delays are likely and ferry services may be affected.
