CIRCUS fun with juggling, skittles and popcorn set the scene for a celebration at Shanklin's Springfield Nursing Home.

On Thursday, March 7, the 42-bed care home celebrated one year since it joined Hartford Care — and the milestone was celebrated with a party.

Vibrant circus backdrops, a photo booth with props helped create a jubilant atmosphere, while jaunty fanfare music played in the background.

Decorative fast food such as burgers, hotdogs and chips were served in keeping with the circus theme to imitate the red and white big top tent theme.

A cake decorated with circus animals was enjoyed by all.

Guests sipped prosecco and were treated to a live music performance of magic tricks by magician Simon Wheeler.

There were speeches by chief executive Sean Gavin and registered manager Camelia Gogoasa, who thanked family, friends, residents and staff for 12 months of support and some amusing moments.

Camelia said: "I am really proud of my team who work very hard every day, especially to organise this special day. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to more celebrations in the coming years."
