MARTI Pellow, best known as the lead singer of Wet Wet Wet and for his leading roles in the West End, is coming to Shanklin Theatre.

Now enjoying a successful career as both a solo artist and leading musical theatre star, Marti is playing at selected theatres for 2019 and comes to Shanklin on June 24.

Tickets go on sale next Wednesday (March 20), or on Tuesday for Friends of Shanklin Theatre.

Marti's career includes one of the most successful hits in UK chart history, Love Is All Around, which spent 15 weeks at number one.

The BRIT and Ivor Novello award-winning singer-songwriter first came to the attention of the British public as the lead singer of Wet Wet Wet, who had more than 25 chart hits including Goodnight Girl.

As both a solo artist and with Wet Wet Wet, Marti has had consistent chart-topping multi-platinum albums, including the solo albums Moonlight Over Memphis, Love to Love, the jazz album Sentimental Me, tribute to the songs of Broadway and the West End, Hope, and the self-penned country influenced southern-soul album Boulevard of Life.

Marti was in the concert and cinema production of Chess alongside US legends Josh Groban and Idina Menzel, and he took the West End and Broadway by storm in Chicago. Last year he toured and then returned to the West End as Che in the award-winning production of Evita.

He has brought his own music to audiences through out the world, from Madison Square Gardens to Ronnie Scotts. He's recently spent several months on an international arena tour with Ricky Wilson, Jason Donovan and Liam Neeson in Jeff Wayne's War of The Worlds and in 2016 completed a huge sell-out arena tour with Wet Wet Wet.
