AN INJURED crewman aboard a sailing vessel off the Isle of Wight was assisted by Yarmouth RNLI this afternoon (Saturday).
The man had dislocated his thumb while sailing. Yarmouth RNLI went to the meet the boat just after 4pm before bringing him back to Yarmouth Lifeboat Station.
The Needles Coastguard Rescue team assisted from the shore.
The injured man was met by the Ambulance Service at the station and taken to St Mary's Hospital.
